Software Policy

BTE Software Access & Acceptable Use Policy

BTE access is approval-based. This public policy describes the operating rules expected of approved users and the restrictions that protect users, borrower workspaces, BTE systems, and ILS Consulting Group intellectual property.

Approved Users OnlyNo public registration • Limited authorization • Credentials do not transfer ownership
Important: This public policy does not replace the binding Software Access, License, Confidentiality, Privacy, Security, or organization-specific agreements applicable to an approved user. Those executed or affirmatively accepted terms control where they differ.

1. Authorized Business Use

Approved users may use BTE only for the business purposes, features, data, and permissions authorized by the applicable agreement and assigned access. Authorization is specific; access to one BTE surface does not imply authority to use every BTE function or view every user's information.

2. Account & Credential Responsibility

Credentials are for the approved user to whom they are issued unless the applicable agreement expressly permits another arrangement. Users must not share credentials, disclose authentication factors, lend access to unapproved persons, or use another person's credentials. Suspected compromise should be reported promptly through the authorized support or security channel.

3. Permission Boundaries

Users must remain within their granted role, workspace, organization, and feature permissions. Attempts to view another user's borrower workspace, exceed assigned authority, bypass role restrictions, or access nonpublic systems outside granted authorization are prohibited.

4. Confidentiality

Authorized access may expose confidential BTE information, customer or organization information, borrower information, product materials, or other nonpublic content. Users must protect confidential information and may disclose it only as permitted by the governing agreement, assigned business purpose, and applicable law.

5. Lawful Use

BTE may not be used to facilitate unlawful conduct, unauthorized access, fraud, harassment, malicious interference, or activities prohibited by applicable law or the governing agreement.

6. Copying, Extraction & Redistribution

Users may not copy, publish, redistribute, bulk-extract, scrape, systematically harvest, sublicense, transfer, or commercially exploit protected or nonpublic BTE material except as expressly authorized. Ordinary use of product outputs specifically intended for an authorized mortgage workflow is not prohibited merely because an output is used for its intended purpose.

7. Reverse Engineering & Circumvention

Users may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, defeat technical restrictions, bypass security controls, discover nonpublic implementation details, or circumvent authorization boundaries except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law or ILS Consulting Group provides express written authorization.

8. Security Testing

Penetration testing, vulnerability exploitation, credential attacks, privilege-escalation attempts, scanning of private infrastructure, service interference, and other security testing require express written authorization. Good-faith security concerns should be reported rather than exploited.

9. Automated Systems, Model Training & Competitive Replication

Without written authorization, users may not use confidential or proprietary BTE material to train or fine-tune competing models, create datasets from nonpublic BTE information, automate replication of protected interfaces or documentation, reproduce proprietary implementation, or construct competing software from protected/confidential BTE access.

10. Borrower & Customer Information

Borrower, loan, mortgage, and organization information accessed through BTE must be used only within the user's authorized business purpose and permissions. Users remain responsible for complying with the legal, organizational, lender, investor, and professional obligations applicable to their work.

11. Operational Integrity

Users must not intentionally disrupt BTE, corrupt data, defeat safeguards, interfere with other users, or introduce malicious code or content. BTE should be used in a manner consistent with product documentation, authorized workflows, and reasonable security practices.

12. Logging, Review & Investigation

Where permitted and appropriate, access and security activity may be logged or reviewed for security, support, compliance, incident response, and enforcement. Suspected violations may be investigated and relevant evidence preserved in accordance with applicable agreements, policy, and law.

13. Suspension & Termination

Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated as permitted by the governing agreement and applicable law for security risk, credential compromise, unauthorized use, confidentiality breach, policy violation, end of organizational authority, license termination, or suspected misuse requiring investigation.

14. Surviving Obligations

Termination of access does not automatically extinguish confidentiality obligations, intellectual-property restrictions, payment obligations if applicable, legal remedies, or provisions that the governing agreement expressly states survive termination.

15. Alpha & Pre-Release Access

Alpha, evaluation, and pre-release access may be limited, changed, or withdrawn. Features may evolve. Participation does not create a public entitlement to continued access. Confidentiality, feedback, evaluation, and other rights are governed by the applicable agreement; this public policy does not invent an assignment of user feedback or intellectual property.

16. Enforcement

Violations may result in access restriction, suspension, termination, investigation, preservation of evidence, contractual enforcement, and pursuit of remedies available under applicable law, equity, and contract. Nothing in this policy guarantees a particular legal outcome.

Questions concerning authorized software access or this policy may be directed to support@bte-crm.com. Do not send borrower information, credentials, or private security material through public email.

17. Communications, Recording & AI

Use build. Phone only for authorized, lawful business communications. Honor applicable consent, recording, transcription, do-not-call, opt-out and messaging requirements. A website inquiry or waitlist entry is not consent to automated calls or text marketing. Do not spoof identity, evade opt-outs or use the service for abusive or unlawful campaigns. Obtain required participant permissions before recording or transcribing.

Transcripts and AI summaries can omit or misstate information. Review them against the conversation before using them in a borrower record or making a professional decision. AI does not replace underwriting, legal or compliance review. Recording, transcription, storage and access must follow the applicable product terms and authorized workspace boundaries.

18. Phone Assignment & Availability

build. Phone is designed for one native number per MLO, including Pro Plus. Device access does not grant additional numbers. Number activation, any supported transfer and service termination follow the applicable provider and subscription terms. Web and mobile phone access remain planned. Verify emergency-calling availability and configuration; power, connectivity or service interruptions can prevent calls.
